The longest and most physically challenging singletrack ride in the Whistler valley. Envisioned, designed and built by Chris Markle (a Whistler trail building legend), Comfortably Numb is a must-do ride for technically advanced cyclists. Long climbs, challenging rock faces, elevated bridges and spectacular views combine for a continually thrilling experience. The trail meanders in and out of old growth primeval Coastal Western Hemlock ecosystems and granite rock gardens, finally plunging into the valley bottom at Lost Lake Park.
This has been designated as an IMBA EPIC ride. If you're not an advanced rider, either start very early in the morning or take some warm clothes because you might spend the night "out there".

A great trail, but is 24 km better than multiple 5 km trails?
I rode the first portion, exiting at Young Lust (which is a great descent).
The trail is technically demanding, though not impossible. A few man made bridges where needed, but mostly rocks and roots.
The isolation factor has to be taken into account - no cell service, and few routes out. Ride with care.
