I rode the Frisco Peninsula Lakeshore Loop with the beginners in the family, and had a great time! The trail is an easy 6 mile singletrack with very little climbing. There are spectacular views of Dillon Reservoir and the snow capped peaks in every direction. There are enough obstacles to challenge a beginner, a little. I rate this as a 5-star green -> it's definitely a green trail, the beginners in the family loved it, and the scenery is far better than any other beginner's trails I've been on.
This is a mostly unremarkable trail by Summit County standards. The descents aren't much to speak of and the only technical bits are provided by seemingly incessant baby heads on parts of the trail and powdery off-camber turns on other parts of the trail. The scenery is, of course, nice, but other area trails excel further in this area as well. This is just a basic trail who's greatest asset is it's easy access from the town of Frisco.
