This park is near my work and is a nice place to get a quick ride in
Not a lot of mileage and many trails do not allow bikes. I haven't figured out how to make a convenient loop yet so lots of back and forth for me.
But the park is beautiful - you would never know you're in Mauldin, SC with the marsh and wetlands. The singletrack that is there is short but fun with a few minor slopes/ roots. Many people on the trails so have to watch out.
Also connects to paved Swamp Rabbit trail
I drove all the way from Alabama to participate in race and used these trails as practice since they were right behind my family's house. Very nice set of trails with an amazing view every way you look. There are some bridges where you are asked not to ride the bike but besides that its a flowing set of trails and I will defiantly be coming back as soon as Im back up there.
I like Lake Conestee for riding for a variety of reasons. The unique nature of the variety of trails means that riders from all skill levels have something that will challenge them. A beginning rider can learn the trails fairly easily, and navigate most things fairly easily. For the intermediate or expert rider, a faster ride adds difficulty to some trails and challenges await in areas that are easily overlooked, such as the fire spur climb downhill descent. The area offers water and bathrooms, is convenient for parking, and also includes a part of the Swamp Rabbit trail that connects nearby Greenville and Traveler's Rest. Overall, a fun ride, and hikers and bikers coexist fairly peacefully, which is always a plus. The trails are all well maintained as well.
My wife and I ride this trail a lot since it's so close to home. It's clearly a beginner trail. She will NOT go alone (she's a petite pretty female) as there are often some sketchy characters at Conestee. Still, it's a nice beginner spot, just make sure there's a big strapping man in the group.
You can also get off the main trails and get yourself in trouble in a few spots. So it's not ALL beginner. 95% is beginner.
I find this trail system hard to navigate as there are too many trails in such a small place. What makes it harder is that some trails are off limits to bikes. Other than that, it is a fun ride through the woods with small obstacles. Should be great to beginners.
This was the first trail my son and have ridden. If you get off the asphalt sections you can find so.e nice beginner trails. There are a lot of boardwalks that you have to dismount for, but overall a very enjoyable and convenient experience.
This is a really convenient trail for me to ride after work. It is about 3 miles away from work. There have been some trails added recently that add a few short hills. I ride the trails twice or more to ride 10 miles or so. Most people will be able to ride this trail.
This trail is pretty easy and most everyone can ride it. There are some trails closed to bikes and you have to walk the board walks. It's pretty flat and has paved sections. It is a good place for evening rides because it is so close to downtown.
Great place to bring the family. There are bike trails and hiking trails as well. #www.stockpiletactical.com
