Tight single track. Watch out for on coming riders, this trail is uni-directional. Not very technical, but fast and fun to ride. A feww obstacle and log stacks, with some bridges, it is really a work in progress but has 3 / 4 miles finished and ready to ride; fun!

Nice short beginners track. Some roots but nothing crazy. Great for beginner looking to improve root skills. Easy to navigate around. As other riders have stated, watch for hikers and dogs. There's a small pump track right at the parking lot to hone skills.

Overall, not that difficult. Just really rocky and rooty, there's a good flow to the trail it's just a bit jarring.

I've ridden it on a FS, my hardtail, and my gravel bike, I learned how to mountainbike out here.

I am new to riding mtb and found a bit more difficult than beginners. Trail was well maintained and not muddy even after torrential rains last night. I will be back.

I ride this almost everyday and I think it's a good course but need better drainage. 4 days after it rained last one some parts of Trail still have a big puddle. There's roots nothing that will slow u down. Improvements have been made recently. Also you may wanna clean the pump track because there's little twigs and rocks everywhere and may add more dirt on the top of the jump in the middle of the track. Overall fun Trail and love riding it.

Great short trail. Nice wide fast moving good flow. A few small climbs. Does get a little tighter and twisty about halfway through all around good trail. You do need to keep your eyes peeled for dogs, walkers, joggers etc I had read somewhere that someone complained about the roots. There are roots but I wouldn't describe the trail as rooty and most of the roots have great line choices that don't hinder the flow. Most are even easily jumped over. Has a nice creek crossing I wish more trails had instead of bridges.

This is a good place to get a few miles in during lunch or in the evening. The loop is just under 3.5 miles and features one climb and a creek crossing. The trail is pretty smooth and there is nothing technical here, so it is a good place to teach new riders and have some fun. Riders share the trail with runners and hikers and it can get crowded on weekends and in the evenings. For less traffic, visit in the morning and on weekdays. Many hikers are known to have dogs off-leash, so beware that dogs could be coming the opposite direction on the trail. The trail is very sandy, so it drains well after rain and sections can be slippery if it is really dry. MTB ride the trial clockwise, starting by the pump track. Check out the Tarheel Trailblazers website for more info and trail status. After you ride, check out Primal Brewing (open after 4PM) for some craft beer(s).

This is my home trail.... Ride here several times a week... I'd never make this a destination ride but if you are close its a good workout.. It's the type of trail that people would never miss until it was closed.. It's a great place to take a beginner or crank out a few laps after work, for some reason riding here is strangely relaxing... Will ride here for years to come

This was both of my kid's first MTB trail. They both enjoyed it and are hooked. Not very challenging but can be a fun work out ride by making multiple high speed laps. The trail is super convenient for the LKN area and does attract a lot of hikers, runners.

Roots galore but a good ride for my beginning 9yo son (first ever), my racing 14yo who races and waits, and me, 47yo woman who hasn't rode mtb in 15 years. Looking forward to exploring Sherman Branch and Renaissance, where my son will race.

Just a fun place to ride. Long enough for a decent workout but short enough where you can do a couple laps - just depends on how much time you have. You will probably encounter some trail runners/walkers (kind of annoying) so just be aware. Not very technical at all. Just fast and really fun.

Trail is just fast with some tight twists and turns, one small creek crossing and a few small bridges. Watch out, there are frequently a lot of runners and runners with dogs. Great place for a beginner rider.

Really fun trail but unfortunately really short. I only registered a little over 3 miles with my GPS. Went out there with snow melt, can't wait to try it again when it's dry. Lots of dog walkers and runners on the trail.

Rode today, first time back on the bike since last summer and this is a great little 4.5 miler to get your heart rate up and lungs burner. Great workout. Trail was in good shape, has some nice elevation changes, creek crossing and about 5 or so bridge crossings.

FAST but super short loop. Fun ride none the less, just hit it a couple times to get a good work out in.

Visited north neck for the first time today and enjoyed every minute of it. Amazingly well groomed trails. After not riding for almost 5 months it was just what I needed to kick my butt, burn my lungs, and motivate me. Thanks Trailblazers for a great spot!

Great trail for a beginner to get a taste of everything. I measured it as a 3.5 mile loop. Look forward to gradual slopes, noting intense, some small rollers, a stacked log crossing, and a creek crossing. As previously stated, there are tons of roots and squirrels, as well as the occasional hiker. This would be a pretty fun place to string together 3 or 4 quick laps for a good workout.
