get on the trail at the corner of Fontaine and I64, at the rivenna trail sign
Some big technical climbs here with some fast and fun downwards! Start your climb at the bottom of the fire road and you'll soon start to figure out the trails after a few visits.
Thank |If you stay by the Ravenna trail it's fairly easy. But go up that hill and you will know your in the mountain. Love this trail. There are some guys putting in some serious work out there. Thank you to the guys who put in the time.
Thank |Love this spot as you can drive to UVa for some quick loops, climbs and descents but you can also make a multi hour go of it by linking it to the Rivanna trail around town. There are lots of uphills that are near impossible to climb, but which make for great downhills. It helps to go with someone who knows the Hill because there are many many options but one wrong turn and you are back at the bottom having wasted your climb.
Thank |Very rooted and rocky trails, with some steep climbs and drops. somebody has built some nice jumps lately up at the top. it would take a few more trips for me to know my way around as there is no signs other than for the rivenna trail that runs along the bottom section of these trails. bring water and be ready for some serious climbing!
Thank |
