Mountain Biking Section 13
#86 of 1,383 mountain bike trails in Colorado
To access the trail, go through a gate.
Section 13 is a mostly smooth singletrack lollipop, with one cutoff trail that cuts across the loop. This trail climbs through the dry, open lands up into the trees, and then turns around and bombs back down the hill. The descent (going counter clockwise) is very swoopy, with tuns of small berms to keep your fun & speed up!
Overall, this trail isn't very difficult, but it's still a ton of fun to ride. Bonus: it stays pretty dry all winter long.
Updates (10/11/11): The lower loop has now been named, Lambachops. The upper loop is named Hotshots.

Three miles of fresh singletrack completed in November. To get there, take U.S.
Highway 50 west to Cañon City. From the first stoplight (MacKenzie Avenue),
drive four miles to First Street. Turn left and drive one mile, past Greenwood
Cemetery. Turn right onto Temple Canyon Road and drive 1.9 miles past a junk
yard and two radio towers to a pull-off on the right. This is the trailhead parking
area. To access the trail, go through a gate. The loop is easy to follow and has
no intersections with other trails.
