Mountain Biking Bobsled
#55 of 709 mountain bike trails in Utah
Super fast downhill through a (mostly) dry creekbed. It has huge bank turns around every corner, just like a bobsled, hence the name!

Park at Popperton park, then head east. Go through the gate for the private community, then 100 yards later, head down the trail to dry creek. Ride up through dry creek on the Bonneville Shoreline Trail for a few miles. When you arrive at a sign that says no bikes overlooking city creek, go left down the nasty looking steep hill. The bobsled starts here! -OR- Drive to the top of Terrace Hills drive. There will be gates to the BST on the west and east sides of the dead end. Go to the east. Continue along until you get to a junction with 4 or so trails coming together in a relatively open space, with one going down, one going to the left, one going slightly forward and to the left to the top of a mountain, and one just to the right of that. Take the one straight in front of you that does not go to the top of a hill. Continue on this until you come to a trail going down on your right. That is the bobsled! -or- Ride up Dry Creek/Dry Gulch continue on to Bonneville Shoreline Trail and traverse until you reach a grassy hill climb turning back to the right. Climb the hill and through a couple rockier climbs than traverse again until reaching a natural amphitheater cut away and lacking vegetation off to the right of the Bonneville shoreline. Trail begins here.
