I had never heard of the race but apparently it is the most televised mountain bike race of all time (more than 3,500 hours broadcast). Not sure if this is being shown in the States but I’m sure we can keep track on the official race website. This year’s field is composed of more than 1,000 riders including Olympic medalists and World Cup winners.

I’m really stoked to see coverage of this race and we’ve even added a section for mountain bike trails in South Africa to singletracks. Seems like a gnarly place to ride, especially since when it’s winter here, it’s summer down there. Road trip anyone?
