I’ve been really stoked on Club Ride gear lately. Their products are the perfect combination of form and function, and the Queen Anne jersey is no different.
This jersey features Dri-Sulate wool-poly blend fabric for superior warmth and comfort no matter what the weather. It layers well with multiple thicknesses of base layers for a variety of conditions, and of course, looks cool while doing it.
The Queen Anne has a full front zip, two rear pockets, and a media port in one of the pockets for easy access to your tunes. Thumbhole cuffs, UV protection, and subtle reflective accents complete the package. The only complaint I have is that the rear pockets don’t zip or have any sort of elastic to keep the openings tight, so sometimes I fear that things will bounce out when the going gets rough. But that being said, I haven’t had any issues yet.
This women’s jersey comes in two colors–Porto Red, which is much like maroon (shown in pictures), or Dark Charcoal, which is a dark grayish blue.
This top has become a favorite for colder weather rides, and it doubles nicely as during-ride and post-ride apparel. Over the holidays, my husband and I rode 200 miles to his parents’ house, and I used the Queen Anne as an extra layer in the middle of the night when temps dipped into the low 20s. I then wore it for the next two days straight, even to Thanksgiving dinner, and it didn’t even begin to smell funky.
The Queen Anne has become my cold-weather go-to piece for those situations in which I’d like to ride to get somewhere, and once I’m there, I’d like to look somewhat presentable, but I don’t want to carry an entire change of clothes with me. It’s flattering, yet warm and functional. It doesn’t get better than that!
MSRP: $99.95
Thank you to Club Ride for providing me with the Queen Anne jersey to review.
