If you want the absolute best bang for your buck in a new mountain bike, it’s hard to beat the offerings from Fezzari. The Utah-based consumer direct brand has bikes to fit every price point from $550 hardtails to XTR Di2-equipped trail bikes at $8,000.
Timp Peak
The Timp Peak is Fezzari’s long-legged trail bike with 150mm of travel front and rear. It’s been in their lineup for years, but is receiving some slight geo tweaks in the form of a lower BB and ever so slightly slacker head tube angle. The frame is full carbon–front triangle, rear triangle, and rocker.
Builds start at $4,000 with your choice of suspension from either Fox or RockShox. And it’s the best they offer too, not the more budget conscious options. A SRAM X1 drivetrain, Guide RS brakes, and WTB KOM wheelset complete the rest of the build.
If you want the best of the best, the Timp Peak 2 is again offered with your choice of suspension, SRAM’s new X01 Eagle 1×12 drivetrain, Race Face cockpit, and Reynolds carbon wheels. And you get all that for $5,800. Sure that’s a lot of money, but holy shit that’s a dialed build!
Hidden Peak Carbon
For the XC racers out there, Fezzari is offering the Hidden Peak. It’s a full carbon bike with 100mm of suspension and aggressive geometry. Complete builds start at $2,900 with a RockShox Reba, SRAM GX drivetrain, SRAM Level brakes, and WTB wheels. Of course, you can get super blingy with Kashima-coated Fox suspension, a 1×11 Shimano XT drivetrain, and Reynolds carbon wheels for $5,000.
