Yesterday, Aaron Gwin won the Leogang, Austria, round of the World Cup series for the third straight year! That brings his career total to 17 wins, tying Steve Peat for second all-time, and just three wins shy of Greg Minnaar’s record. Santa Cruz Syndicate teammates Loris Vergier and Minnaar took the second and third spots, respectively.
Rachel Atherton sat out this round after dislocating her shoulder in Fort William. That left the race wide open for the rest of the women’s field. In the end, Tahnee Seagrave took her first ever World Cup win, edging out Tracey Hannah by less than a second. Myriam Nicole was third.
After back-to-back weekends of racing, the series takes a few weeks off before moving to Vallnord, Andorra, for Round #4 on July 2nd.
