For those who have dreamed of riding the famed Kokopelli Trail but haven’t had the time to plan the trip, Bikerpelli 2007 might be a good option for you. The 5th annual Bikerpelli trip is fully supported and rides the entire trail starting near Fruita, CO and ending in Moab, UT in 4 days. All you gotta do is show up with a bike and Bikerpelli takes care of the rest (food, lodging camping gear shuttle service, and return shuttle).
There are two start dates (May 3 and May 10) and the cost is a reasonable $395 per person. More info at bikerpelli.com

It's not all singletrack (in fact only about 20 miles of the 140 miles is singletrack and most of that is at the start) but watching the landscape change from mesa rims to parched desert, to hidden canyons, to alpine forests in the La Sal mountains is something to be experienced.
Last year I saw NO mountain bikes between Rabbit Valley and Sand Flat Rd in Moab (roughly 100 miles!), 2 enduro motos, an ATV, and 3 jeeps. Truly a feeling of solitude.
I'm headed out tomorrow to bike-camp (4days/3nights) along some of my favorite parts of the Kokopelli Trail since my trip to Gateway, CO (south of the Kokopelli Trail) will have to be postponed because of too much snow in the La Sals and on the Uncompahgre Plateau.
