Mountain Biking Cattail State Trail
#341 of 387 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
Cattail State Trail runs from Amery to Almena along an old rail line. Although it is mostly dominated by farmland, quiet forests, prairies, and wetland often add a little spice to the views.
The route generally climbs first and then descends after the midpoint; however, the total gain is only about 250 feet, so don't worry if you're after an easy ride. If you get the munchies on the trail, the town of Turtle Lake is along the route and has plenty of good food.
