Homestead Trail is a long urban trail, running north and south for about 10 miles through Colorado Springs. It connects with Cottonwood Creek Trail and Rock Island Trail and also connects to many small neighborhood parks. The trail is a mix of pavement and dirt, and there are various social singletrack trails along its length to play on.

Getting there
The trail can be access from many points along its entire length. Currently, its official southern terminus is located on Galley Road just east of Murray and about a 1/3 of a mile east of Mitchell High School (though there are social trails extending the trail further south of Galley). The northern terminus begins off of Cottonwood Creek Urban Trail about 150 yards NE of Cottonwood Creek Park. That is on Rangewood about 0.6 mi south of Woodman.
