Mountain Biking Sandy Bowl
#237 of 387 mountain bike trails in Wisconsin
After a sublime rowdy, loose, rocky, and steep initial descent from the upper trailhead, Sandy Bowl becomes a league of its own. Riders are dumped out onto a massive tract of sandy slickrock, the name of the game being "choose your own adventure." Before you continue, be sure to ride around and look at the different lines you could descend. The easiest immediately return to dirt and completely avoid the rock altogether. However, riders with a little more meddle still have plenty of options. There are lines featuring massive drops, lines that bounce right down the ledges of the slickrock, and even a few that finish off with a couple jumps. To be honest, the amount of different lines is a little scary. Despite this, whichever one you choose, you'll have an mile-wide grin at the end.

From the parking lot, go past the bathrooms, turn right on the connector trail, and go up the trail furthest to the right (Rewind) at the main trailhead, following it to the upper trailhead. Sandy Bowl should split off from there.
