Go south on 61 from Key West and turn left on Olde Davenport Rd
It was a beautiful fall day. Calm 60 degrees, leaves in brilliant color. I drove from Cedar Rapids skeptical and with very little information about this trail. Vamootsman mentioned similarities with Bentonville in a review. Ya right I thought. I figured FDR would be a good plan B backup if IPP didn't pan out. I arrived to find the parking lot was full and parked cars were lining the street. Well it must be pretty good because I've never seen that many cars anywhere I've biked. Started down Distribution Line pretty fast and flowy. Wow this is fun. Soil structure changes from Iowa dirt to loose rocky, limestone outcrops the further down into the creek valley you get. Wow this is a great trail! It looks and feels in a lot of sections EXACTLY like trails in Bentonville. (Just not nearly as much trail). Incredible berms uphill and down. Roller jumps, doubles, gaps.. several high drops... tough climbs and long gradual climbs. Some great fast rolling downhills. This trail is legit. It rivals Sunderbruch as my top trail in Iowa. I rode 3 full laps in about 2.5 hours. I wanted to do another lap but the legs are toast and it's getting late. It's so much fun and worth a 1 hour drive for me. Looking forward to my next visit asap.
Thank |Really well done trail system. Fast and Flowing. The climbing is disguised with some great switchback work.
Thank |Great singletrack, alittle challenging for a beginner but just enough to make you want to get better.
