Mountain Biking The Pines
#265 of 302 mountain bike trails in New York
This is a meandering trail, lots of ups and downs, some even pretty steep. Since it isn't very long, it is probably more of a family trail
While it is relatively short, you could hook up to a couple other trails I will put in in the coming weeks - JackRabbit Trail and the trails by North Country Community College
If wanted, they could hit all the little 'pocket' trails in Saranac Lake and make a day of it.
I think you could ride at night and fat biking in winter, but not 100% sure

There are several ways to get to this trail.
Pine Street, right on Forest Hill Ave (the road is a loop) when you get to the first right turn, take it, then turn right on Labrador... where it elbows right, the trail starts
There are a couple trail entrances at at PIne Street and River Street.. they aren't as easy to find and there is zero parking there
The best way is to park around Moody Pond and ride to one of the trail heads
