Farm Island is an ideal for someone who enjoy the nature and history of this island. It is pretty much recreational leisure riding. Nearly all trails are either gravel and mowed double tracks on basically flat island. Soils are gumbo (clay/soil mixture) which can be real hardened and rough when it is dried. A few places are pretty sandy and slushing. Full of nature! A lot of animals and birds. Nice scenic along the Missouri River. I can visualizing how Lewis and Clark roaming along in 1804 through 1806. It is very well marked along with all historical facts which was very interesting as well as feeling sad to see few abandoned places due to Oahe Dam being built. I marked three stars because it is not quite single track trail, no technical, and some double tracks riding can feel like forever. But it is full of nature scenic and historical stops which boosted my rating .
