Mountain Biking Deadfall Trail

****   Add a review
#171 of 549 mountain bike trails in North Carolina
#3,878 in the world

This tight twisty trail winds all through the woods and crosses itself, walking paths, and maintenance roads. Keep your eye out for the white spray painted arrows and spots to follow the route. If the path is wide enough for two people, it's NOT the one you want. ; ) Very kinky, but not a lot of strenuous climbing.

From the intersection of Linville Rd and Oak Ridge Rd in Oak Ridge, take Linville Rd going West and shortly turn right on Lisa Dr. The park is on the left. Go to the Northernmost entrance. The trailhead is just past the playground and bathroom building and next to the dog park. Follow the white paint blazes.

I wanted to give this trail a 2 star, but just don't have the heart. This trail could be a lot of fun if you are a fit XC person. I feel like there isn't much flow and immediately upon a descent you have a climb again. Worth checking out at least once, and the redeeming factor here is that it never closes. Great for a rainy day.

Great trail. Challenging in areas with spots to enjoy the ride/scenery.
    Definitely recommend!

Well maintained trail in the heart of the Triad. Lots of improvements was done on the existing trail and pretty much marked with white paint where to go and which one is the right trail to follow. Definitely recommended to mountain bikers enthusiasts. #keepshredding

Progress being done in making this trail one of the smoothest and flowy trail in the triad. Markings on the trails being made possible and leaves were blown today to make it easier for bikers and hikers ;-)
