Mountain Biking Chengeltei Mountain Southwest
#47 of 70 mountain bike trails in Mongolia
The area is a complex set of big ridges with long valleys and large slopes breaking off the ridges. It is about 30 square kilometers (11-12 sq mi). The trails are a mix of singletrack, two track, and 4WD roads. The trails run along the ridges, down the valleys and down the big slopes. Most of the area is barren except for the far north portion which is nicely forested. Much of the area consists of big steep rocky trails.
The area is bounded by Chengeltei Am Road on the east, Khailaast and Bayankhosoo on the south, and Ulaan Hudag and Zuunsalaa on the west.

Travel about 7km up Chengeltei Valley Road from Doloon Boodal until you come upon a green colored tall wire fence. This is the NE trailhead and is the best place to approach the trail network.
