This trail is a downhill/uphill trail running from the top of Northside near Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain to the Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain Road. It is characterized at its start by straight, semi-loose runs along the east side of Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain. However, once it meets with the apex of the ridge once more, the trail changes. It becomes much steeper, while at the same time becoming wider and tackier. Here it is incredibly fun due to the massive amounts of speed you can collect while bombing through the trees. After intersecting the top end of the Sheep Herder Trail, it continues down the slope before terminating at Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain Road.

From the Bull-of-the-Woods trailhead, continue into Taos Ski Valley via Twining Road. Then, turn left onto Phoenix Switchback Road and continue until you hit the Northside gate. On bike, pass the gate and start riding Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain Road. Continue on Bull-of-the-Woods Mountain Road until you get to the top of the ridge. On the ridge, there should be an intersection with Wheeler Peak Trail and the Malachite Trail.
