Mountain Biking Two Trees
#603 of 1,004 mountain bike trails in California
This trail is a steep but short climb starting from the end of Two Trees road in Riverside behind the University. It's part of the Box Spring Mountain Park. Once you get to the top, about 1.5 miles, you reach the dirt road that accesses M-trail if you go up all the way. I like to ride up and then come right back down. The single track is the best in Riverside, IMHO. It's got some flow, some rock gardens and great views of Riverside. For a ballsy intermediate rider, it's completely rideable coming down. it's a bit tight in some places and there's always people hiking it, so be courteous and wear a bell. Up and down is just under 3 miles, but it's a great workout and the DH is the best I've found near Riverside.

You can either ride up and back down the single track trail from Two Trees road in Riverside, behind the University, or you can ride up the Box Spring Mountain dirt road and then ride down the Two Trees trail from there. If you decide on the latter, you'll have to ride around the mountain to get back to your vehicle. Shuttling is an option.
