Mountain Biking Austin Badger Park

#28 of 116 mountain bike trails in Ohio

This trail is mostly well built "Flow Trail" made mostly by machines. Nothing really technical and about 200' of elevation gain over 3.3 miles. obstacles range from jumps and berms to a few placed rocks. The trail was also an old golf course so you will find small sections of sand. Riders are also able to session sections of trail by taking concrete cart paths that the trail crosses over back to a section of trail they want to re-ride. Very fun trail and not your typical single track since most sections are pretty wide.

Getting there
Getting off route 71 onto route 18 heading west you will make a left by Goodwill and head down River Styx Rd to find the trail head parking lot on your left. If you went under the railroad bridge you just passed the parking lot. The lot is also well marked with a sign.

It’s a nice park to learn mountain biking no need to worry about hard obstacles. Just be ready for a few really steep sections that sometimes have loose dirt.

Really good trail. Would definitely recommend to a new rider because there is a pump track that was recently installed. I love this trail, however it is becoming overgrown and there are many dangerous divots and ruts that should be cleaned up.

This trail is one of my all time favorites for its well manufactured features and flexibility. A convenient asphalt path connects every part of the trail allowing for breaks in between section as well as the ability to choose where you would like to begin, or redo certain exciting parts. The trails are well maintained, overall smooth, and have a good mix of both technical and flowing areas.

Great trail! Ups, downs, and jumps. Very easy to get multiple laps. If you like to jump and flow, this is the place to be.

Awesome ride! Lots of good smooth flow that lets you get up some nice speed. This trail has some steep climbs, for a newbie like me at least. The paved cart path is close to the trail and they cross at several points. This is good for bailouts or for bad weather. The cart path has to be the steepest golf cart path I've ever seen though!

Fun, machine-built flow trail with berms, rollers, and table tops. Lots of fun, and you can catch serious air on the jumps. Sadly, this cost me a rim and a tire.

Excellent modern flow trail with a hint of old school climbing. Short enough to take a couple of full laps. Cart paths nearby for bailouts or inclement weather. Excellent work!

A good course that opened this summer. Starts off with jumps and then weaves in and out of the woods. Most of the jumps are in the open fairways of what used to be blue heroin golf course. They also have all the paved cart paths to ride when the trails are to wet and they have alot of steep climbs.
