Crooked Creek was completed in 2018. It is now a rugged 6 mile loop around Crooked Creek Lake. This is an expert level back country trail. Expect Rocks and log features on narrow hand build trails.
Please be prepared as this trail will take you deep into Yellowwood State Forest, where access and services will be limited. South section: This section is a combination of hand-built singletrack and an old fire road that has been converted to a half pipe singletrack trail.
This trail climbs or descends over 800', so get ready to climb or have a sweet descent! This is backcountry riding, so be prepared to be self-sufficient. A few doubletrack/singletrack trails connect to Crooked Creek within Yellowwood to make a longer loop. 10 O'Clock Trail connects back to BSCP, Trail D, Miller Ridge, Bartley Ridge, and Miller Ridge to give you 17 more miles to add to the eventual 6 of Crooked Creek Trail.
Awesome remote area that keeps getting better thanks to HMBA! A great change of pace from BCSP.
Thank |A great trail to hit after exiting brown county park.
Thank |Went out here for the first time after visiting Brown county and Wapehani parks over the last few weeks. Relatively new to mtb. This trail was a bit out of my skill range but it was definitely a learning experience.
A lot of off camber riding as well as several logs and rock gardens to up the difficulty. I hit the ground my fair share haha. There was a big tree down in the middle of the trail that several riders have hiked around.
There was also a point where I went on an unfinished trail that came to a dead end. The downhill to end it was definitely the highlight.
Not the best trail around but definitely a nice change of pace.
