If you ride the lift to the top, you'll climb about 300ft to get to the top of Fat Marmot. The trail then drops about 700 feet of elevation over a little less than 2 miles of narrow singletrack. The upper part of the trail traverses the mountain allowing for great open views and some pretty good speed. Then the trail begins to zig-zag thru repeated switchbacks. The last couple of switchbacks are on the steep side, and contain virtually all the technical obstacles on the trail. These switchbacks should be doable for many intermediate riders. The trail ends about half way down the mountain, so you'll ride the road to another trail to get back to the base.
