Reading the last (and only 2 review s) this is a great rolling trail for the first 1 1/2 miles ish, then gets really rooty/bumpy. I ride a Farley Fat Tire with the 4.75 size tires. I can say I love this trail!! It is not ez though and it will kick your butt on the climbs! Road this yesterday 7/10/2020 and was very dry. I have always started from Fountain Head (which is the end) and from what people says is the hard way to start. Weekends it's mostly hikers so please be aware of this. If you can get out on weekday for you first trip I would say it's well worth the ride. Enjoy

BROT was hikers-only until this year. It's a steep, natural trail, much more traditional than fountainhead. Though the trail is wide, it's fairly technical with lots of roots and water-bars. Since the trail is an out-and-back, these features make for tough climbs and gnarly descents.

The trail is very technical and not very flowy it is a workout. If you are in the area ride fountainhead instead it is better in my opinion. If you ride this trail ride it from the end to the beginning there's more descending and less climbing.
