Mountain Biking Leckhampton
#38 of 98 mountain bike trails in England
Local downhill riders have got some great trails set up on the escarpment of Leckhampton Hill. The trails are quite steep with some berms, some drops, some jumps and some swooping curves. There are no signs and no indication of how hard the trails are. The best stuff is hard to find so first time up you really need to go with a local.
Up on top of the scarp there is some quite nice cross country riding with expansive views over Cheltenham and surrounding countryside.
There is no easy way from the bottom to the top. The locals are tough - they do quite a lot of up hill walking!

Head south out of Cheltenham on Leckhampton Road. Leckhampton Hill is on the edge of town, turn left into Daisybank Road. The car park is on the right in about 100 metres.
As I am a local here Iknow the place very well
If you are a cross country rider there are some very technical and long steep climbs some tracks are good for beginers but also good for down hill some very steep desents and if you had the speed you could get a decent amount of air
Thank |As downhill trails go the Leckhampton Hill ones have what it takes in a limited kind of way. It's not far from top to bottom; there are plenty of jumps, berms, drops and other stuff but none are really well developed. It's not visitor friendly but if you go with a local there is scope for quite a bit of fun.
