The trail has been upgraded again in late 2016 and officially dubbed the Poop Loop Trail (due to the adjacent Wastewater Treatment Facility). It now rides in one direction on alternating days of the week, look for the signs at the entrance. Very good trail for new riders to get acclimated to technical turns. It is mostly flat and has several low-lying areas that were amored in late 2016-early 2017.

This trail was recently updated by RVA More and there are quite a few locals liking it a lot. Bridges have been added over the perpetual swampy area. A nice intermediate little trail with great views of the James River, this trail has been dubbed the 'Poop Loop' by locals because of its close proximity to the city water treatment facility. Add a ride down the Slave Trail to add a couple more miles to your ride.
