Mountain Biking MOTR (Mountain of the Rogue)
#57 of 306 mountain bike trails in Oregon
MOTR is a 3.6 mile, 1600' climb to the top of the Rogue valley with incredible views below. The climb up offers little reprive - it's a relentless march up with numerous switchbacks and a choppy but packed surface. At the peak, stop at the radio tower and take it all in...then switch to descent mode for another 3.6 back down. The descent is worth every ounce of the climb - it's fast and flowy through many sections but also has some technical rock features, rollers, a few manmade jumps and tight bermed corners. The best days are after the rain. Even when it's dry and silty, it's an absolute blast for confident beginner-intermediate to expert level riders.

The trail-head is about a mile south of Rogue River on North River Rd. next to the 7th Day Adventist Church. The church has been very supportive but please don't park in their parking lot- please park along the road.
