Mountain Biking M-20 north
#139 of 322 mountain bike trails in Michigan
out and back trail on single track, flat to rolling terrain, some sandy spots and erosion roots. Faster going south, seems more down hill than going north

US Highway M-20
This is a linear trail, part of the north country trail system. We stayed at the birch Grove school house and explored from there. The trail was maintained and marked well by the standard blue flashes on the trees. Nice long-ish downhills. it was fun in a non technical way. To the north were two more sections that allow mountain bikes. One is a 41 Mile stretch, so if you want to do a back country camping, mountain biking trip, this would be a good place. It is a bit frustrating that they just don't allow biking on all of the 100 mile section. Could be a great trip!
