Compared to everything else I've ridden in my increasingly long life it's a 2 or 3 but considering the absence of trails in the Northern Virginia area it deserves a good bump to 4. Rode this with my son today (I'm 46 he's 14). Wet conditions made the rocky stretches more technical but it's a super fun trail and, like a previous reviewer stated, not too much of one thing but a little bit of everything. It's surprisingly well maintained and groomed. OLD MAN BONUS: I bonked before the trail was done and there are plenty of areas of egress to get back to the main road if you need to bail before the full 8 mile loop is completed and make your way back to the trailhead. We're looking forward to going back. DOUBLE BONUS: it was a Sunday afternoon and we didn't pass a single person which kind of blew my mind (another score bump)! Cheers.

Good trail for the older novice rider such as myself. Construction in several locations caused slight relocations, but these were well marked and only slight issues with staying on the trail.

    Overall not bad.
If you have never been here, be prepared to be frustrated by poorly marked trail entry / exit points. One on the trail, it's pretty good.

This trail is close to my house and I have been riding about once a week. It may not be too difficult but I have fun. It has some fast sections with quick turns and a few climbs. Pretty nice for a community trail.

This is a great beginners trail to get into mountain biking. It's a XC loop of mostly doubletrack. There is not much elevation changes up or down and limited technical sections. The good thing is you do get a little of everything; short climbs, some downhill, roots, rocks, stream crossings etc. If you live in the Ashburn area, it's super convenient for an after work ride or even for weekend warriors. One of the pluses is that since this is a relatively new trail, there are usually very few other riders and a lot of wildlife so it's a scenic ride.

This place has a nice little BMX track at the front end which is fun to start your ride off with. After that it's mostly gravel, mowed grass and a few portions of up and down singletrack. It's a good spot to hit after work to let off some steam. You have to cross the stream on the left at the very beginning to access the "Grange" loop. A nice mellow ride with hardly any people on it during the week.
