Has several access points, the northern access is on a closed FS Rd #2885, the mid access point is on Trail #171, and the southern access point is near Grubb Mtn. Located on the western edge of the district boarders the Kootenai National Forest. Take Hwy 93 west out of Whitefish 10 miles, turn on Farm-to-Market Rd go 1.5 miles, turn onto the Star Meadow Road continue on this road until it turns to gravel and becomes FS Rd #113. Access can be also be from trail #171 or Brush Pass. Best to have a District Road Map to find this trail.
