FYI. Local MTB club is working to bring the trail back. If you want to keep up with the news or be a part of the restoration please follow the Wollondilly Macarthur MTB Club on Facebook.

I've heard negative things about Mt Annan so avoided it for a while. But it's worth at least one visit, the "advanced" loop has some good jumps and tricky skinnies after a gut-buster of a steep climb. Plenty of flat, off-camber, and small-bermed corners to really force you not to corner lazily.

The criticisms that stick, are the open fields with no shade that get very hot in summer, and the drawn-out climbs with too many switchbacks on the green loop, that make mountains out of molehills - I suppose they tried to make it super easy for beginners but it doesn't really work.

It's a fun place to go and try. It is purpose built and there are some good segments that you will enjoy. Can get very hot during the day in summer months. Take plenty of water

Purpose built MTB trail. Very limited shade and very hot in summer. Technical level is easy to intermediate with A-Line and B-Line options at the more technical trail features. Lots of off-camber sections and short, pinchy climbs to steal your momentum. Very well sign-posted. Full circuit is approx. 11km, with shorter loop options. Water and toilets at trail head.
