The trailhead is located on Forest Road 6452-600. The trail leads west past Bobby Lake to end at the Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail #2000. This gentle trail passes through lodgepole pine, mountain hemlock, and noble fir. There is an excellent view of Maiden Peak at Bobby Lake.
