Mountain Biking Lemish Lake Trail

***   Add a review
#167 of 307 mountain bike trails in Oregon

Overall, this is a good mountain bike trail, especially as a loop via Clover Meadow Trail No. 21 & Clover-Lemish Tie No. 18. The side trip to Lily Lake is a highlight, though it is best done on foot due to steep and wet terrain.
From Lemish Lake Trailhead to the junction of Charlton Lake Trail No. 19 at Forest Road 4290, this trail passes through lovely meadows and a variety of forest types. Early season mosquitoes can be fierce in this area. source: fs.usda.gov

We did the Lemish & Charlton trail thinking we were doing the Lemish trail only. a ~1hour ride turned into 4, ran out of water, empty stomach. A miserable experience to say the least. Next time I'll go with someone that knows where they're going.

Fun trail as long as you go the way that isn't uphill the entire trip...Couple of sandy spots to watch for, but good climbs and good downhill. I t has some steep switchbacks, but they're totally worth it.
