A wooden footbridge made of planks winds through a dense forest, surrounded by tall trees and earthy ground cover. The path is slightly elevated and curves gently, with fallen logs and rocks visible along the trail. A river runs through it mountain bike trail.

Mountain Biking A river runs through it

Some popular advanced single-track, in close proximity to Whistler village.

what's nice about "river" is that the elevation gain is relatively small, the trail is mostly flat, but there are lots of obstacles, log rides, with easy out options for friends who aren't up to it (or those who do not fall victim to peer pressure). And many of the logs that are there have a small "penalty box".

What a great trail. Lots of fun, just don't be in a hurry. Lots of elevated obstacles to play on and challenge yourself with.
If you really don't like man made features try another trail.

Pushed the limits of my wanna-be Advanced abilities.
Some of the bridges, min particular, I found mentally challenging.

Having said that, I took all easy options, and there were a couple of double-black alternate paths I don't even want to think about!

A good day out, in the dry weather.
