Mountain Biking Discovery trail

**   Add a review
#170 of 307 mountain bike trails in Oregon
#8,582 in the world

There's plenty to discover for hikers and cyclists on the Discovery Trail, the bitumen path that connects Long Beach to Ilwaco on Washington's Long Beach Peninsula.

There are a number of art and cultural features to see, as well as the stunning coastal scenery and the towns that are joined by the trail.

As there is minimal mountain bike trails on the peninsula, at least this allows you to get out on the bike. If you have a family, they may enjoy it also.

The coastal run past long beach is mostly flat and gently winding. All bitumen.
From the long beach side to ilwaco is gravel, and rolls up and down quite a bit. Not exactly mountain biking, though.
