Mountain Biking Arroyo Hondo Open Space
#127 of 283 mountain bike trails in New Mexico
This is just an 86 acre open space on the East end of Santa Fe close to I-25. There is about three miles of mostly novice level singletrack with a couple of intermediate sections. The network consists of a stem from each parking lot to an outer loop with two connectors through the interior of the loop. The surroundings are typical hilly Santa Fe pinion/juniper forest.

From I-25, exit 284 go to the East side of the highway and head south on the Old Las Vegas Highway frontage road. Go through the light at El Gancho and then take the next left on Arroyo Hondo Road. Go under I-25 and look for the parking lot immediately on the right. Alternately, there is more parking at the upper lot at the end of Old Agua Fria Road if you head the opposite direction from exit 284 on Old Pecos Trail and go left on Old Aqua Fria.
