Mountain Biking Sheep Creek Trail
#44 of 265 mountain bike trails in Montana
The trail has a few interesting spots (rocks, roots, etc.), but mostly it's pretty simple and straightforward. A pretty good climb, especially the last few hundred yards to the lake. Pretty brushy in the lower section, but opens up nicely with some nice single track. Absolutely beautiful area up there. You can jump in the cold lake for a quick rinse off before descending. Since there are grizzly bears in those mountains, don't ride alone and be careful.

Take Sheep Creek Road off of Hwy 87; about two miles in is the Sheep Creek Trailhead. Horses and hikers use this trail too, so be wary.
