There are several locations to begin the circle trail. At Lynx Lake, riders can access Ranch Trail 62 which is a part of the circle trail. Wolverton Pass Trail 9415, next to White Spar campground, is also a great starting point. The trail can also be started at Watson and Willow Lakes, and Thumb Butte.
Over the years I have rode this whole train, sometimes in smaller pieces than others. But this trail does have something for everyone, but as another reviewer pointed out it is quite the undertaking with all the climbing. I look forward to doing it all in one shot next time I am back home.
Unless you're an advanced rider, in good condition, scout parts of this trail in sections before trying to complete the whole 50 miles in one shot. I went counter clock wise, which is the recommended direction, and to start from White Spar Campground.
These trails are the best for advancing skills and providing tremendous fitness. Altitude should be counted as part of the features of the terrain as well as the weather.
