Yellow trail is a loop of 2/3 single track and some double track and power line area. clock wise It starts near the river, with a big steep climb followed by a 2nd longer climb. there's a nce flowy middle part on the spine of a hill, dropping down to near the spillway. from there you follow trail on mostly double track, with one more major climb. it finally ends 100 yrds up the road from start. Taken CCW climbs are generally tamer.

Still rides great, is in good shape. road loop both ways, and again much funner ccw. Cw is more of a suffer fest, but not too bad.

I love this loop. Fast, flowy downhills with lots of rollers and bermed turns. I've done it both CW & CCW and recommend CCW (though the run down from the Iron Mtn TH to the bottom going CW has some major drops that could be fun if you're into that sort of thing).
The section between the bridge and the spillway is looped, but the east side is basically double track from the road to the spillway, so next time I go I'll just do the west side of that loop both ways (as there's a nice downhill when taking that part CW just before the spillway).

BIG hills, lots of easy to rock gardens. My first try here, I was spent b4 starting the, unreasonable, climb at the start, then bailed less then a mile in. What goes down must come up. To be fair the start (CW) flows a bit, it's about five steep gravelly climbs with short flat spots in between. If you keep going you'll drop some then climb for almost 2 miles, before descending near the Dam/Spillway area. That's not the end of it, the rest is 80% double track with more steep up and downs and a nice little stream to ford near end. Reversing it you avoid the steepest climbing, but it's still physically challenging. I also like that iron mtn is just 3-4 miles from I-30. Killer :D No one should be scarred off if they're up for hills, technically nothing more then strong beginner level.
