First time on the trail. From the trailhead we headed to the left (up down trail) beginning had a nice gentle climb then some pretty good downhill. Lots of loose gravel, dirt, and exposed rock (large and small). This trail is by no means a beginner trail. Took this to east ridge trail more single track, more climbing. Small downhill at the end before it dumps you back onto the main trail. Took the main trail down to the river and found some trails that paralleled the river. More loose gravel and exposed rock. Some sandy soil, but mostly hardpack. We enjoyed the trail, lots of different options on trails which all lead back to the main trail so you won't get lost. Enjoy the ride!
Several intersecting trails here. Typical loop out to buildings and back to parking is about 4 miles. Trail is very hot and has very few shade spots. Lots of horses, virtually all of the trails are fire road. No single track. Some alternate loops such as the ridge trail or the up/down trail have steeper grades. Not much to see no tech areas. The trail dos connect with Skunk hollow and salmon falls trails if you looking for about a 50 mile out and back.
This is more of a trail network than single trails. This trail is actually call the Down Up trail. Has a bit of steep climbing and ripping downhill. The network is mostly double track trails.
