Jalapeno is a short .25 mile lariat that simply climbs up to a knob above Salida, but it is well-worth riding for the view alone! Sure, there are a lot of great views of the town and the mountains surrounding it thanks to the treeless slopes of S-mountain, but can another view hurt? Didn't think so.
