Croyden Bush is a remnant of native forest on a hill near Gore. One day there will be a great network of trails in Croyden Bush but that day has not yet arrived!
One poorly designed machine built track called Water Race Trail sidles round the hill between the Pope Road access and the Domain Road access. Branching off that trail there is an unsigned access track that takes you over to a trail called Wet Rubber. It's a reasonable down-sloping track with some optional gung-ho jumps. Instead of riding down Wet Rubber you could push uphill on a track called Royale with Cheese. Once at the top you turn around and go all out for a challenging technical ride down.
The trails have a decidedly amateurish feel to them. There is limited signage and none when you really need it! You could easily get lost in this forest. I saw a new track being build and it looked more professional so I wasn't joking when I said there will one day be a great network of trails here. In the meantime best to go elsewhere...
The Croyden Bush Trails are a work in progress. Probably best to leave the locals to it for a few more years.
