Mountain Biking The Dipper
#20 of 40 mountain bike trails in New Zealand
Travelling northwards this track drops quite steeply away from Alexandra Road, dipping sharply, hence the name, before gently rising to the northern end. It is possible to gather a lot of speed down the hill, so watch out for other track users.
The northern most 0.1km of this track coincides with a section of Mt Vic Summit track ending at the point where the branches of Mt Vic Summit track meet.
The top section (at the Alexandra Road end) has a gravel surface, while the rest of the track is a mixture of dirt, rocks, and tree roots.
