Mountain Biking J.R. Alford Greenway
#110 of 289 mountain bike trails in Florida
This site is nestled between arms of Lake Lafayette. There are over 17 miles of trails throughout the 870-someodd acre parcel. Some are hard packed gravel and others (particularly those along the perimeter of the site) are unmaintained and rooty. Trails wind through woods and rolling pasture. A covered bridge over the RR tracks connects this system to Lafayette Heritage Park.

There one long, downhill (with drainage humps) section that's fun on the main path, but besides that it's more of a family stroll type of path. The bike trails that hug the sides can be fun at times, but nothing to really brag about. Some sections get rooty and fast, but overall not as exciting as other trails in the area. If you're local or already riding the East Cadillac and want to check this one out it's worth it, but if you're trying to decide on a destination ride from out of town, I'd look at the cadillacs/magnolia/fern trail first.
Thank |The main pathway is mostly meandering rides around retention ponds and boardwalks through a wooded flood planes with the light scent of sewage wafting through the air.
There are some singletracks hiding off the paved trails that could be great with some care.
