Mountain Biking Philbrick Trail
#49 of 121 mountain bike trails in Maine
If you are in the Skowhegan Area this a great spot to get some exercise on your bike. Nice loop with both uphill and downhill sections. Some of the climbs are pretty steep with soft sand and rocks adding to the challenge. Don't miss the small bike park built by the town along the paved section of the River Walk.

Starting at the intersection of US Routes 2 and 201 (Main Street and Water Street) in downtown Skowhegan, take US 2/201 (Main Street) south over both bridges which span the Kennebec River for a quarter mile. Turn left following US Route 201 south; after about 0.1 miles, turn left onto the first street (Cedar Street) and go to the end. Turn right onto Mount Pleasant Avenue all the way to the end. Turn left onto Joyce Street and park on the shoulder out of the way of truck traffic. Ride along the side of the fence by the treatment plant to enter the trails.
