This trail is one of the best around for intermediate riders. The trail is constantly being maintained and improved. They have recently added some new jumps, drops, berms, and skinnies!(September 2020) If you are in decent pedaling shape, you will have a great time! Regardless of fitness the downhills here are fast and fun. During the summer the trail can get dry and sandy but that is common for most trails. Come ride it, you wont be disappointed!

I enjoy riding A and B trails. They have skinnies, jumps, berms a wall, long bridges fast downhills and wooden drops.
I have not hit the drops.
I had the worst crash of my life at the entrance of A, because of something covered by a pile of leaves on the trail. I hit that right after a jump. (additional features have been added to that section in the last couple of weeks. )
I've ridden Lindsey Park 4 times in the past three weeks. I plan another ride in 2019. It's December 27, 2019 now.

Lindsey is now 15 miles long and has a short 5 mile loop with signs if you like. Come check out the new drop section where we have planned more interesting features. There is a list of over 30 improvements to Lindsey for 2020 and as long as we have volunteers available, we will get this done. Come out and love your trails !

If you like sand and roots. This is the place for you. If not save yourself the trip. Go to a golf course and ride in a sand trap.

One of the best trials in Tyler. This is a very fast trail that is ridden at almost 12mph for the faster riders. There is plenty of climbing and quite a few cool features. The trail is now 12 miles long and gets updated almost every 3 months. Would be my recommendation for anyone visiting Tyler.

Enjoyable trails in a city park. Nothing too extreme, but a good pedal. The Tyler area has a few trails and this one ranks behind Tyler State Park. Trails are well designed and uses what is available. A few well placed wooden bridges and berms. Takes a while for the area to dry, so give the trails a few days after a significant rain.

When this trail is dry, it's great- after a significant rain it's a total washout and not worth your time. I'm an advanced rider with a homemade 9-speed hardtail 29er, and here are some observations:

Leave gears 5 through 27 at home, you won't need them.

There are some nice technical spots- skinny crossings, bridges, lots of deep sand, roots galore, but no rock gardens.

An intermediate rider can tackle it with a decent hybrid, and a heavy bike won't be much of a hindrance.

If A Loop is dry, go ahead and do B Loop; if you do C Loop, you should go ahead and do D Loop.

There are some quick stretches on C and D, and plenty of opportunities to crash into trees, if that's your thing.

    Have fun!

DISCLAIMER: I'm 46 and ride a singlespeed hardtail 29er. As such, I'm very aware of every bump and incline on any trail, and this one has a lot of both. It starts with a steep descent that is really fun- the downside is having to go back up again. After a while, after this has repeated 20 times or so, it gets challenging. Lots of recently applied sand doesn't help. Things get easier by the time you get to C Loop- if you're thinking about taking a shortcut back to the trailhead at that time, you might reconsider- continuing along C is actually less work. Around mile 6 or so the scenery gets really nice, tall pines and the underbrush thins out. There are signs pointing to "expert trails" back in there, now that it's cooling off, I'm going to try them out. See you out there!

Some moderate climbs and some fast downhills, with a few recently added jumps, one of which is a 2.5' ramp overlooking a drop so you can get some air time.

Was able to complete loops EZ, A, B, and C. At which point I got double flats at the same time and still have no idea how. The loops I did complete were a lot of fun with few climbs and a constant speed. Not many technical areas either. Overall I would recommend the trail to anyone in the area. It's a good trail for a good exercise and/or after work ride.

Nice flow in a compact area. I really enjoyed this trail as it offers several sections that require little to no pedaling (unless insane speed is your goal). The climbing sections are only moderately difficult. That is to say one doesn't need to be an endurance racer to not be winded at the top. If you are in the Tyler area, I do recommend this trail.* Review edited 11/4/2012
