Mountain Biking Little / Big Casino
#137 of 319 mountain bike trails in Idaho
A nice, rugged ride on the fringe of the White Cloud mountains near
Stanley. As a loop, you might want to ride up Little Casino and down Big
Casino as Little is a little more rideable on the way up. Going down Big
Casino is fast and technical. Great views of Casino Lakes and the
Sawtooths from near the top of the loop. You can do this as a shuttle
starting at Boundary Creek across the highway from the fish hatchery near
Redfish Lake, descending down Little or Big Casino. Ride Little Casino as
an out and back too if you want. There are re-routes under construction to
avoid many of the current creek crossings. Great scenery.

From the intersection of Hwy 75 and Hwy 21 in Stanley, head North on Hwy 75
for 5 miles and turn right (South-East) crossing the Salmon River onto Casino
Cr Campground Rd. Follow this road 0.5 miles South-West to the end and the
parking-trailhead area.
Great trails with great views. Singletrack is top notch. However the climb to the top can be steep, long and brutal. But the descent is worth it. Probably some of the better views of the Sawtooths once you get up high! Check before you go to make sure logs have been cleared from trail. I prefer to go down Little Casino personally.
