Singletrack from start to finish, not directional. I park at the end of the trail, and ride up to the trailhead. This trail is not real fast, but a good workout.

From Minden,La take hwy79 east to hwy518. Follow 518 to Lake Claiborne State Park. The trail head is by the park entrance gate.
Poorly maintained in my opinion. Dozens of downed trees and logs across path. Very leafy and many of the trail markings are faded. Between having to stop for the trees and battling spiderwebs this trail was nearly un-rideable. The scenery was nice and if it had been maintained recently this track had the potential of a nice ride but just extremely frustrating for myself as a beginner. Won't be back.
| ThankRode this trail Sunday 6-9-13. Was mostly easy to follow with the signs and trees painted, lost the trail briefly where it came out onto the high line right of way and went back into the woods about 100 yards to the south. Trail was kind of cluttered with trees across the trail, but it had just recently stormed. The king of the Mountain trail connects near the end of the trail and goes back to the trail head but would be kind of brutal on a bike.
| ThankRode this trail during the winter months with most of the leaves covering the path. There was an abundance of trail markings but they seemed never to be in the spots needed. The trail is also combined with a walking trail at certain sections during the second half of it. The trail in general is easy with a few hills. High speeds are rare. I would imagine it's a much better trail without the leaves. Would recommend if you're in North La and are tired of Lincoln Parish Park's trail.
